Comparing Goose and Disk

the Well in Goose 31 has long been a symbol of rebirth and rejuvenation, as in the Fountain of Youth and the Baptismal Well, and so matches perfectly the rebirth meaning of the rosette at the second entrance in Phaistos 31.
the falcon in Phaistos 52 is upside down, the only time it appears on the Disk in that position. This indicates distress and matches the distress implied by the Prison in Goose 52.
the Death field in Goose 58 has the same meaning as the bald head and rosette which make Phaistos 58 a death field.
In addition, six of the 12 fields with jump-doubling geese on the modern board are in the same locations along the path as six of the twelve "Flock of Geese" chevron signs or forward arrows on the Disk.
Moreover, the setback from the "Maze" field in the Goose game, which amounts in most versions to twelve fields, has a counterpart in the graphically suggested setback of twelve fields from the Phaistos field after "death".

Taken together, these matches are too frequent and too precise for chance coincidences to be plausible. It follows that the track on the Phaistos Disk was the path of a board game which survives in the Game of the Goose in only slightly modified form. This discovery is the key which opens the meanings of most signs on the Disk.

The so supported and confirmable interpretation of these signs reveals many traits of the ancient cosmology and religion embedded in the Disk that are also still very much alive, just like the game that once served to convey these concepts to its players.
