Both the above views of the northern night sky are the same image, produced with the SkyMap Pro 4 program by Chris Marriott.  The constellation lines at left are modern ones drawn by his program.  Those at right connect the same stars into "Cretan constellations" which circle the "north pole" on the Labyrinth gameboard from the Phaistos Disk, shown below.  These reconstructed "Cretan constellations" are actually easier to see than the more complicated modern projections of lines onto the sky.
